Alissa Condra · Aligned Experience Design

I take complexity and make it simple for you, your business, and your clients

I'm a user experience designer. I start with listening, then research, learn, design, build and teach. The solutions are AI-enabled products, systems, and processes for businesses small enough where the owner is trying to do most everything themselves.

What part of your business and admin is slowing down your growth? Answer a few quick questions and get my advice on where to start first.

How I work

I start with people, problems, goals, and behaviors.

As a user experience designer, my job is to sit with people while they use apps, website, or work — watching where they hesitate, noticing the workarounds, and figuring out what's actually going wrong rather compared to what's possible. That's user research, and it's more useful than any amount of technical skill.

Most developers or freelancers skip that part. Someone takes the process you already have and makes it run faster, and now the same problem arrives sooner. If your intake asks for the wrong things, automating it means getting the wrong things more efficiently. If you have too many systems, it creates multiple connections that can eventually break, rather than remove those steps in the first place.

So I don't build anything until I understand your business, your goals, and your customers' needs. I watch how you actually work, fix what's worth fixing, and build the better version — not a faster copy of the broken one.

The rule
You can't automate before you optimize.

AI will write you a plan to fix your process, but it won't build it for you.

Even if you could build it, you'd be automating a process nobody questioned first.

And its answer to too many disconnected tools is usually four more tools and some code to hold them together. I work differently.

What I do

One on one, done for you, and done together

The Platform. Everything your business runs on, in one place, set up and supported by me. Booking, contacts, pipeline, follow-up, courses, payments, content — one system instead of six, built around how you already work.

CRM, courses, and AI platform for coaches

Coaching, programs, a membership, a community. Mostly you, maybe a small team. Your income is tied to your calendar and you'd like it not to be.

Practice management and AI system for businesses

A team, a schedule, clients coming in and out. Your staff spend more time moving information between systems than you'd like to admit.

A Claude or ChatGPT-editable website

Stuck on WordPress, Elementor, or a page builder you're afraid to touch? I design and build your new site, set it up for Claude or ChatGPT in your own account, and teach you to run it — no developer, no plugin renewals, just describe the change you want.

Training and education

Custom webinars, workshops for teams, and talks for businesses and nonprofits — on UX, on AI, and on what the two have to do with each other. Built for the room, not delivered off a shelf.

Why me and not an agency
An agency builds what you asked for

Most of the value in this work is in figuring out whether what you asked for is the thing that's actually wrong, and that's the part I've spent my career on.

I stick around

This kind of work usually fails because the person who built it left and nothing was written down. Everything I build gets recorded and documented while I build it, and it's yours whether or not you keep working with me.

One person

And I'm one person, so there's no account manager and no explaining your business twice.

An AI voice agent that answers the phone, knows the schedule, and has somewhere to put what it hears. Without the system underneath, it would be a demo.

The separation, on purpose

Everything you read here is a file. Everything you do here — booking, forms, follow-up — runs on the platform I'd be building for you.

Not sure which one you are?

Eight questions, two minutes. You'll get a specific answer about what's actually slowing your business down — your tech stack, your admin load, your revenue model, or your AI setup — plus the one thing I'd fix first.

What's slowing your business down?
Where to go next

Most small businesses I meet aren't missing a tool. They have six, bought at different times for different reasons, and none of them talk to each other. That's not a discipline problem and it isn't something you should have sorted out already — nobody hands you an operations manual when you start a business.
